A one-day post workshop technical tour will be organised  Friday 28 June 2019 to the eastern part of Iceland. Departure from Reykjavík domestic flight at 07:30 to Egilsstaðir where we take 4x4 bus to a measuring site at Hallormsstaðarháls, a well-known place for heavy ice load on test spans and existing overhead power lines. 

From Hallormsstaðarháls we will drive along an existing 400 kV line crossing a very beautiful mountain range, where at winter time problems with heavy iceload, snow avalanche and mudslides can be expected.

Back to Reykjavík at 20:25 (arrival at 21:25).
